Randi’s Race – Annual 5K Run/Walk for Hope and Courage – 2024

Randi’s Race: A 5K Run/Walk for Hope and Courage in memory of Nancy Chavez’s beloved daughter, Randi Lee Trimble, who was murdered in East Pennsboro Township on January 10, 2003, by a hit man hired by her husband. Both men are now serving life terms with no chance of parole. This year marks the 21st anniversary of Randi’s death.

Randi’s Kidz Club – Mechanicsburg

Randi’s Kidz Club is a ten-week therapeutic group for children, ages 8 to 13 years, who have experienced or
have been exposed to domestic violence. This program has been designed to help children cope with feelings and emotions through art therapy, games and relaxation techniques.

Candlelight Vigil – Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Every October, as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, DVSCP holds its Annual Candlelight Vigil. The event is a time for family, friends, and community members to honor and remember those who’ve lost their lives to domestic violence.
