Randi’s Virtual Race Frequently Asked Questions
What is a virtual run/walk?
A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from the location of your choice. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on a trail, on a treadmill, or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself! After the virtual race, participants post their times, be recognized online, and your medals will be mailed to you directly.
When does the virtual run/walk race take place?
Race week begins on Saturday, April 27, 2024 and runs through Saturday, May 4, 2024. You can upload your results any time before 12:00 am on Sunday, May 5th.
How do you register for the virtual run/walk?
Register for events on Randi’s House of Angels website by going to https://randishouseofangels.org/randis-virtual-race-registration/. You will get an on-screen confirmation in addition to an email confirmation with the information for your registration.

Just get out there and run and walk, whatever works for you! By entering our virtual race, you are agreeing that any injury or damage that is caused by completing your race is your own responsibility
Can children take part?
Yes absolutely. We only ask that anyone under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult when running or walking for the virtual race.
Will the virtual run/walk include a kids fun run?

What medals will be given to the top runners.
Awards medals will be given to the first and second place runners in the following age groups
- Under 14
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60 and over

Do I need to complete the distance in one go?
No, if you are building up your distances, you can split your race over a few days or weeks and they can be in any amount of distances as you need!
For example, you may complete a 5K race with 2 x 1.5k, or 3x 1.25k, it’s up to you! Whichever way you complete the distance, a medal is a great reward for your achievement!
How do I enter my results?
You must submit evidence that you have completed the distance of your chosen race. You can go to the Constant Contact link below, which is also included with your on-screen and email confirmation you’ll receive upon registering. Submitting your time is simple and user friendly.

How do I submit my evidence of completing the race?
We run on the “honor system” and ask that you share your miles with us on one of our social network sites.
You can take a screen shot of your running app miles, take a photo of your miles on the treadmill and share your beautiful smile with us with your new race medal. Again, post on our Facebook pages, send us a “tweet” or Instagram a picture of your time, date(s) of race completion. You can also email us a message with the same information if posting pictures are not your thing.
Pictures submitted can or will be used for marketing purposes only.
Do I receive confirmation that you have received my miles for a medal?
After you have submitted your evidence via the Constant Contact link, you will receive a confirmation email. This will include the delivery details of your award medal (if applicable) and your Randi’s Race t-shirt. Please remember to check your postal address.
Do I have to provide my results to get my medal?
Yes. But if you would prefer, we will not add you our medals awards board, which allows you to remain anonymous. You need to indicate this to us when you submit your results. We appreciate that there are quite a few people who would prefer not to share their results for their own reasons.
Where can I see the Race Results?
At the end of the Virtual Race Week, all the results will be posted on randishouseofangels.org so you can see how your calibrated time stacks up against the rest of the participants. We will send an email to every participant once results are posted.
When will I get my medal?
Generally, the medals will be shipped after the event was held. Medals are sent via US mail. Allow up to 2-4 days (more if you are in a remote location)
How do you know where to send my medal to?
We capture your address on the registration form as part of the checkout process when you register for a race. You can update your address by sending us an email.
What if my medal does not arrive?
Please contact us at https://randishouseofangels.org/ to track where the item is.
How do I track my miles?
You can track your miles on your own by using any running app such as; Nike, Garmin Connect, Run keeper and other running related applications.
Can I change my race distance after registration?
If you decide to change your race distance after you registered, just select the distance you actually completed when you upload your results.
How much of the registration fee goes to the charity?
