Randi's Camp of Hope and Courage is dedicated to provide a compassionate and positive experience for children who experience and/or witness domestic violence in the home. Through educational and interpersonal activities, campers will have the opportunity to work on increasing their self-esteem and confidence. We believe it is essential that every child will be given the opportunity to participate, interact, learn and play as children. Randi's Camp empowers children to believe that they are valuable contributors to the whole family unit and that their thoughts are worthy of expression.
Randi's Camp is a 3 day therapeutic/recreational camp for children ages 8-13 who have experienced or have been exposed to Domestic Violence. Each year the camp focuses on a certain theme. Each day the campers will participate in structured Therapeutic activities that allow them to explore their emotions and develop new skills to cope with and communicate their emotions. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to make new friends and have fun during the recreational portion of the camp day.
The camp will be facilitated by an MSW clinician with over 15 years of experience in child and adolescent trauma as well as volunteer staff who have completed a 40 hour minimum training on Domestic Violence issues.
